Crochet Class: Hat Class - Saturday, September 26th 2026 - 11:00a-12:00p

LEVEL: Beginner/Easy

AGE: For ages 15+

PREREQUISITES: Basic crochet skills are recommended but not required for this class including: 

• Making a slip knot

• Holding yarn and crochet hook

• Chain stitch

• Single crochet stitch

CLASS DESCRIPTION: 

The Ribbed Wonder beanie is a perfect project for the fall! This cozy hat is made in the back loop, which gives it the detailed ribbing around the beanie. This project is great for a beginner, but can also be adored by an experienced crocheter. This hat works up quickly and uses the same stitch throughout. 

This class will using the following skills:

• Making slip knot

• Chain stitch

• Half-Double Crochet

• Back loop only

• Weave in ends

MATERIALS:

• Yarn: 1 skein of Malabrigo Vientos or 1-2 skeins of Loopy Mango Dream: Bulky yarn (color of your choice!). Yarn should be wound prior to class. 

• US J-10 (6mm), Crochet Hook

• Stitch markers (locking or open)

• Tapestry needle

   

• Scissors

All materials are available for purchase at A Yarn Market. Please purchase materials and choose yarn color prior to class. We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early to wind your yarn in store, or winding yarn at the store when you purchase beforehand. Store hours can be located here.

POLICIES

• Class fee does not include the yarn or needles. Materials are available at A YARN MARKET for purchase before class.

• Classes require a minimum of three participants to be conducted. If fewer than three participants are enrolled, a private lesson may be offered, or the class fee will be credited back to you.

• No refunds. Please note that missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. 

• Class dates are contingent upon weather conditions; extreme weather may necessitate rescheduling.
