Do you offer classes at A Yarn Market?

Yes. Check the 'Group Classes' link and select individual photos to view descriptions and any prerequisites for classes. Classes are kept to a small size, with a maximum of 6 students per session. All classes require registration.

 

Do you offer knitting or crochet classes - and what is the difference?

We offer knitting and crochet classes for all levels. Knitting is with two needles and crochet is with one hook. Both use yarn and are a creative form of fiber arts. We are excited to share the yarn love!

 

I have a child/tween/teen who wants to learn to knit or crochet, do you offer classes for kids?

One of the reasons behind opening A Yarn Market was increasing accessibility to fiber arts for all ages and levels. Our classes are open to ages 9+, as that is usually the age children have the attention and fine motor skills for success. Please check each class listing for details on age recommendations and materials.

 

Classes are 'sold out.' Will there be more?

We are thrilled to be teaching and are happy to have full classes. We are adding classes often, so please keep checking back on the website. We also provide our newsletter subscribers early access to registration (an option should appear on the website to sign-up for newsletters).

 

Do you offer space for open knitting?

We just added Social Stitch to our class and event line up in Fall 2026. Social Stitch is every Friday from 10a to 11a and currently no reservation or fee is required. We ask that you come on time and end when store hours begin at 11a so retail space can be shared with shoppers.

During Social Stitch we encourage name tags (provided), choosing a different seat every time to meet new people, bringing knit or crochet projects, sharing what you are making, respect and kindness for all.

Please respect our small business and utilize our shop yarns during open times. 

 

What is A Yarn Market's return policy?

Due to the nature of yarn, volume, and dye lots, there are no returns or exchanges. We want your yarn to be the best quality. When it leaves the store, we are not able to guarantee the environment in which fibers are exposed. 

All sales are final purchase.

Do you offer winding services?

We offer complimentary winding of one skein of yarn with yarn purchased from AYM, if there are not other customers waiting. There is a DIY winding station in store that you are are welcome to use on the day of purchase, with yarn purchased at A Yarn Market. During event days, winding is not always available. We also have a variety of winders and swifts available for purchase.
