Crochet Class: Kids Garland (Class Fee) - Saturday - December 5th, 2026 11:30AM-12:30PM

LEVEL: Beginner

PREREQUISITES: No experience required! 

AGE: Kids 8+ (Kids 12 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult)

CLASS DESCRIPTION: 

Geared towards kids (see age requirements above), this introductory crochet class will teach how to make a slip knot and how to complete the chain stitch by finger crocheting! The chain stitch is the very foundation of most crochet projects and can be universally turned into so many fun projects! In this class, we will be creating garland for the holidays! Kids can additionally use chains to create bracelets, bookmarks, backpack keychains, and many more fun projects that their imagination might lead them to! Finger crocheting is a stepping stone to learning how to crochet with a hook if desired. Once kids learn, practice, and become comfortable with the chain stitch, it can lead them to a lifelong mind-calming hobby!

PATTERN:

Written instructions and other helpful resources will be emailed to parents prior to class, as well as given to kids during class. 

MATERIALS:

• Yarn: 1 skein of Malabrigos Vientos OR Loopy Mango Dream: Bulky-weight yarn (your choice of color)

All materials are available for purchase at A Yarn Market. Please purchase materials and choose yarn color prior to class. We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early to wind your yarn in store, or winding yarn at the store when you purchase beforehand. Store hours can be located here.

• Class fee does not include the yarn or needles. Materials are available at A YARN MARKET for purchase before class.
• No refunds. Please note that missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. 

• Class dates are contingent upon weather conditions; extreme weather may necessitate rescheduling.
