3-Part Raglan Knit Class (Class. Fee): Step-by-Step or Good Old Raglan - Starting December 12th, 2026 - 11:30AM-12:30PM

LEVEL: Adventurous Beginner

PREREQUISITES: cast on, knit, purl, join in the round, and cast off.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: 

This class will walk you through constructing a basic raglan sweater, an ideal first sweater! This class is a good option for knitters who are comfortable with the basics and are ready to jump into making their own wearable garments.

We may not complete this pattern in class, but you will have all of the skills needed to finish it on your own. If you need additional assistance after class, please consider attending a Guided Social Stitch class or booking a private session.

Please complete the neckline ahead of class. We will jump right in with short rows!

• Pt. 1: Dec. 12 (Short rows + Raglan increases)
• Pt. 2: Jan. 2 (Splitting for Sleeves)
• Pt. 3: Jan. 16 (Picking up Sleeve Stitches, Finishing Details)

MATERIALS: All are available for purchase at A Yarn Market.

• Yarn: Please view your pattern of choice for required yarn amounts.

• Step-by-Step: Aran weight - We recommend Loopy Mango Dream!

• Good Old Raglan: DK weight - We recommend Malabrigo Rios or Indigo Guinea Raven DK!

• Needles: 

• Step-by-Step: US 7 - 4.5 mm; US 9 - 5.5 mm - We recommend using interchangeable needles w/ one longer cable and one shorter

• Good Old Raglan: US 4 - 3.5 mm; US 6 - 4.0 mm - We recommend using Chiaogoo shorties!

• Stitch holders or scrap yarn

• Stitch markers

• Tapestry needle

POLICIES

• Class fee does not include the yarn or needles. Materials are available at A YARN MARKET for purchase before class.

• Classes require a minimum of three participants to be conducted. If fewer than three participants are enrolled, a private lesson may be offered, or the class fee will be credited back to you.

• No refunds. Please note that missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. 

• Class dates are contingent upon weather conditions; extreme weather may necessitate rescheduling.
