The World’s Simplest Mittens by Tin Can Knits - Two-Part Class

LEVEL: Intermediate 

PREREQUISITES: Must know how to cast on, knit, purl, and join in the round.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: 

This class will walk you through your first pair of mittens! The free pattern we will be using provides instructions for sizes ranging from toddler to adult large, and using yarns from fingering to chunky weights.

Before class, you will need to determine the size you’ll be making and yarn weight you’ll be using, then follow the pattern up until the thumb gusset.

MATERIALS:

• Stitch markers
• Barber cord or scrap yarn
• The pattern contains various size and yarn weight options. View the pattern for your specific yarn and needle needs.
• • Example: If you’re making adult medium mittens using Malabrigos Rios, you’ll need one skein. You’ll use US 3 and US 5 needles in shorties, DPNs, or long circulars using Magic Loop.
• Materials are available for purchase at A Yarn Market.
