Indigo Guinea Learn to Dye Yarn Workshop - Saturday, Sept 6th 9:30a to 11:00a

Come see Lindsey of Indigo Guinea Fiber, when she brings her mobile yarn shop to visit A Yarn Market. She will park her yarn truck outside of the store and bring all the supplies for you to dye your own yarn! 

During this special workshop you will learn some yarn basics, how to use acid based dyes, and dye your own skein of superwash merino in your choice of weight.

You don’t need any knowledge or experience to attend. This is an event to have fun with friends (those you bring along or the new ones you will make) and get to take home something special.

Your new yarn will already be heat set and washed.You will just want to hang it to finish drying once you are home, then use it for your next project.

Dye colors will be selected by Lindsey but there will be a variety you will be able to choose from and add as many as you want on each skein.

Once everyone is done dyeing the trailer will also be opened up for shopping!

*Classes are limited to 6 people each session

**If you want more than one skein, please select  and we will send a separate invoice for the additional skeins - $20 per skein - email to name and additional base to hello@ayarnmarket.com at least 48 hours before class

The bases to choose from are as follows (one skein is included in the cost of the class - additional skein can be added for $20/each with a max of 3 skeins per person):

• Sparrow – Fingering - 75% superwash merino/25% nylon
• Raven – DK - 75% superwash merino/25% nylon
• Wren – Worsted – 100% superwash merino
• Dodo – Bulky – 100% superwash merino

AGE REQUIREMENT

Children under age 16 should be accompanied by an adult, given the nature of the event. If you only want to have your child paint yarn, you can register for one attendee (min age of 12 years), but please plan on staying for the duration of the activity.
