About Cornbread and Honey: 

Tanya has been dyeing yarn since 2015, a journey that began during a time of deep loss. After saying goodbye to her beloved chocolate lab, Basil, Tanya turned heartbreak into creativity. What began as a much-needed distraction became a source of joy, healing, and purpose.

She finds inspiration in the world around her—everyday moments, meaningful images, and unexpected color combinations. Developing new colorways is her passion, and she also offers custom orders to help bring others’ visions to life.

Over the years, her business has grown into a full-service creative shop. Lotion bars (Hive Bars) were introduced in 2018, followed by earrings, trinket trays, and stitch markers in 2022. In 2023, the shop expanded even further with notions pouches, needle stoppers, Doodle accessories, skein coats, scissors, needle threaders, and more. That same year, Tanya launched her cold-processed soap and, by the end of 2023, opened her very own yarn shop.

What began as a hobby became everything. Tanya loves what she gets to do every day and finds immense joy in creating pieces that spark happiness and meaning for others. Nothing compares to hearing a customer say that a colorway truly spoke to them—she creates beautiful things so others can make something absolutely stunning.

Beyond the studio, Tanya is a mom to six incredible children. They are her “why”—they are the Honey.

She hopes you’ll come along for the ride… it’s been a wildly colorful one so far.
