Born and raised a farm girl, Candice English—owner and creator of The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers—infuses her heritage and her home state of Montana into every aspect of her work. Candice has lived and experienced “The Last Best Place” in countless ways: from the cut banks of northern Montana, to the lakes and mountains of the Flathead Valley, to the cultural and creative hub of Missoula, and back across the Rocky Mountains to the storied landscapes of central Montana.

The heritage behind The Farmer’s Daughter is its greatest inspiration. Candice’s early years were spent on a farm and ranch 30 miles east of the Blackfeet Reservation, where her mother, Pauline Matt, was born and raised. Grandma Pauline is the foundation of their family—connected to the earth in immeasurable ways. Their rich Native American roots, traditions, strength, and family values guide everything they do, shaping a brand that is deeply authentic, grounded, and full of heart.
